A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and educational support to a birthing person before, during, and after birth — and whose work has been proven effective. I have worked with over 30 families, offering this support in Richmond, and beyond.

Supporting pregnant people is what I do.

My role never looks quite the same, because no person or family I work with is! As a doula, not a care provider, though, one thing that is consistent is that I do not offer or provide medical support.

If I had to give my “style” a name, I’d call it “Quiet Strength.” I bring a calm, peaceful presence into birth spaces, anchored in the many hours of having gotten to know you, and my natural personality.

If you choose me as your doula, we will spend many hours preparing together as you learn what to expect and how to create the experience you desire.

You get a shirt.

Someone else gets birth support.

Community support helps make it possible for me to provide my services to families who cannot currently afford to invest in them. And it spreads the word on why birth support is valuable. Be a part of the work!
